ManpowerGroup Greece , on behalf of its client, a dynamic and innovative company specializing in Geospatial Intelligence and Earth observation solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Back-End Software Engineer (Python) to join their team.
📌 Location: Athens - Northern Suburbs
📍 Working Model: The working model is highly flexible, allowing for three days of remote work and two days in the office
🖋️ You will be reporting to: Technical Manager
What you will do:
As Back-End Software Engineer will have a strong background in backend development, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable, high-performance systems. You will play a crucial role in developing the backbone of applications, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems and services
Collaborating with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions
Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability
Ensuring the security and integrity of applications
Troubleshooting and debugging issues as they arise
Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science or other relevant disciplines
4+ years of proven experience in Back-End Development
Strong proficiency in backend development with Python
Experience with SQL and database systems
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Very good command of both the Greek and English languages
Will be highly appreciated:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools
Experience with geospatial data and Earth observation technologies.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Authentication workflows and securing applications (OpenID, OAuth2, etc.)
