Backend Developer
Description
This role is about:
In the Payment Gateway team, you will be part of a team of experts, their sole mission is to ensure Payment Gateway stability and performance. The Payment Gateway team provides secure, reliable, and fast online payment processing solutions to business around the world.
You will:
Work with Perl legacy system. Provide support and maintenance and extend current features.
Implement Microservices in PHP in support of the legacy system.
Design, develop, and maintain server-side components of our payment gateway platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and implement new features.
Integrate third-party APIs and external services into existing systems to enhance functionality and usability.
Optimize code for maximum performance, scalability, and reliability.
Work closely with DevOps to deploy, scale, and maintain applications in cloud environments, with a focus on CI/CD pipelines.
Contribute to code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring code quality.
What we need:
Strong experience with PHP, particularly in developing microservices.
Proficiency in PHP & Python.
Desired and great if you have Perl, for supporting and maintaining legacy systems. However we are also considering candidates that have a desire to Learn Perl from scratch and work with it.
Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
Strong knowledge of server-side technologies and frameworks such as one of the following: Django, FastApi, Symfony.
Familiarity with gitlab CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with integrating third-party APIs and external services.
Experience with payment gateway platforms or similar financial systems is a plus.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with outstanding attention to details.
Upper-intermediate or higher English level.
