Machine Learning Engineer for Audio - Working Student

We are now looking for a Working Student who is available to contribute approximately 20 hours per week.
Tasks
Investigate recently published research papers on AI audio innovation & summarize findings with our team that are strategically aligned with our company objectives.
Research and develop solutions for audio foundation models, audio reasoning, generative audio, explainable audio AI, few-shot learning for rare sound events,
Collaborate with others to integrate audio AI modules into the prototype systems.
Collaborate with Product Owner to integrate 3rd party APIs into prototypes.
Requirements
Currently enrolled as a Masters student in Audio-related Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
We require a minimum of 6 months for the working contract (e.g you need to have at least 6 months remaining in your student status)
Good programming experience in Python, proficiency in PyTorch (Lightning), HuggingFace (Transformers, Diffusion), hydra.
Broad knowledge of machine- and deep-learning algorithms and principles and state-of-the-art methods
Knowledge of digital signal processing principles and methods (multi-channel audio processing, DFT, filter-banks).
Publication record in top machine learning and audio analytics venues (e.g., ICASSP, Interspeech, AAAI, ICML).
Hands-on experience in deep learning model optimization like quantization, neural architecture search, pruning.
Enthusiasm about applying Machine Learning and AI to Audio-DSP and music related tasks.
Experience with a python web framework like FastAPI or Django is a plus.
Self-motivated, collaborative mentality, and experience working in a multicultural environment.
You are optimistic, ambitious and prefer the feeling of a startup over a big company.
