Production Systems Developer Placement
Based: High Wycombe
Type: Full-time, 12 month placement
Salary: £23500 pa
Role Description:
We’re looking for a placement student to support our Production Systems Development (PSD) Team in developing bespoke test systems to our overseas factories for the mass production of state-of-the-art audio interfaces, MIDI controllers and synthesisers.
You will be working in a people-focused, multi-functional design & engineering team, collaborating on new product development and the continuous improvement of our production processes, systems and tools.

What you will do:
Develop factory tests for new products entering production using our ‘in house’ production system tools & architecture
Get involved with new product introduction from design all the way to mass production
Support the execution of our strategy for PCBA and Final Assembly for new products
Implement automated functional test procedures and systems
Contribute to research and development of new areas for functional testing (eg robotics) and quality inspection (eg machine vision)
Provide remote technical support to factory engineers overseas
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
Competent coding skills in Python (ideally Asyncio, Django, Pandas, Crossbar.io)
A good understanding of audio electronics and measurement tools and methods
A commitment to continual improvement, both personal and of the wider team
Excellent design, debugging and problem-solving abilities
The ability to communicate clearly with a cross functional team
It would be advantageous if you have some of the following:
Enrolled in or completed a BEng/BSc degree, preferably in a related engineering subject – Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Systems, etc
Background in audio electronics and music technology
Experience with web technology: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React…
Hands-on prototyping using Arduino, Teensy, Raspberry Pi or other platforms
Familiarity with best practices and dev-ops tools: git, Ansible, Linux…
Experience with manufacturing automation, Industry 4.0, etc.
