ManpowerGroup Greece , representing a prominent financial institution in Greece, is seeking an experienced Python Develope r to join their team.
Our client is a global leader with a presence in countries, dedicated to supporting top companies in Greece with employee engagement and retention solutions.
📌 Location: Athens, City Center.
📍 Working Model: Initially, the position will be held onsite for the first two months. Following this period, a hybrid working model will be implemented.

What you will do:
The successful candidate will leverage their strong backend development skills, with a focus on Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, and FastAPI. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems to ensure robust support for our applications. Your role will involve crafting high-quality code, performing thorough testing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions to drive our projects forward.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend solutions using Python and associated frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI)
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Optimizing and refactoring existing code for improved performance and maintainability
Designing and implementing RESTful APIs
Collaborating with frontend developers to integrate frontend components with backend services
Working with various databases, ensuring efficient and optimized queries
Writing unit tests and conducting thorough testing to ensure the reliability and stability of backend components
Working closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
3 years of proven hands-on Software Development experience in Python
Strong knowledge of at least one major Python framework (Django, Flask, FastAPI)
Experience with both external and embedded databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), as well as with cache engines (Redis)
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Solid understanding of both the functional and object-oriented programming paradigms and how they apply to the Python language
Familiarity with concepts of MVC, ORM and RESTful
Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Will be highly appreciated:
Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Docker Containers and Docker Compose
Familiarity with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
Knowledge of message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
Understanding of front-end technologies, including ReactJS, HTML, and CSS
