Python Engineer

Description

We are looking for a skilled Python Engineer to join our dynamic Product Engineering Team. Together, we have built over 600 integrations, and your role will be to continue help us build new connectors while enhancing existing integrations for our customers. You'll play a key role in constantly improving the quality of our product by maintaining a healthy level of test coverage and working closely with the QA team.

This is a full-time positionwhere you can work remotely within Europe , or from our coworking space in Katowice.

Some of the things you’ll work on:

In the first two months:

  • Assigned to a pod and work closely with our Engineers and pod owners.

  • Absorb our engineering culture, start coding your first connector, increase code coverage for existing connectors, and swiftly ramp-up to familiarise yourself with Adverity's platform.

After two months:

  • Take care of the data processing pipelines by working on new features , extending the scope of existing ones, managing the 3rd party API changes, and fixing bugs.

  • Build relationships within and outside the Engineering team and collaborate with QA Engineers, Product Managers, Customer Support, Engineering Operations, and more.

  • Take ownership of the tasks you work on - from analysis, development, code review and testing, to the deployment to our customers.

  • You'll be responsible for raising the overall quality of our product.

We’re excited if you have:

  • Fluency in frameworks/libraries such as Django, Celery, and SQLAlchemy, as well as up-to-date with the Python ecosystem.

  • Quality first approach : you bring experience implementing best practices striving for high test coverage (unit & integration tests).

  • Knowledge of most popular testing libraries and ability to use them through TDD and BDD approaches.

  • Good knowledge of modern databases like PostgreSQL, as well as experience working with data processing.

  • Excellent in (over)communicating: You are a good listener. You know how to advocate, persuade and negotiate with your peers, and you don't shy away from being at the forefront.

  • A curious mind and fast learning skills: You have an appetite for continuous learning and you know when and how to dig deeper, while keeping the bigger picture of seamless customer experience with the platform at the forefront.

Why you’ll love it here:

  • Flexible working hours and home-office

  • Internal shares program (EDPP)

  • Budget for job relevant training

  • Regular team events (also remote)

  • Modern and stylish office in the heart of Katowice

  • Sustainable merch for all employees

  • Adverity Social Responsibility Days (+2 days paid off)

  • 26 days annual leave (excluding Polish public holidays)
