📊 LAYERS, our software, offers analytics to the agricultural sector with a large
direct impact. For example, clients can improve the efficiency in treatments (sowing, fertilization, irrigation, etc.) and generate estimations in yield (tonnes per hectare), as well as quality estimates (e.g. soybeans protein quantity) for different crops. We know that producers, the agroindustry itself, or even insurance companies and traders in the agronomical sector are facing three main challenges, with a large impact in their gross margin:

👾 The LAYERS Product Team is the main area of the company, where 14 persons are distributed in three squads: BackEnd, Data Intelligence, and UX/UI. Three-four weeks sprints are combined with sprint demos where all the company is updated with the

🎯 What is your mission in HEMAV?
The main goal of this position is to work in the development of new areas of the LAYERS backend under DDD philosophy with special care to the interaction among microservices.
✍🏽 Tasks
Specifically, this person will:
Develop the functionalities of an API with Python according to business needs.
Interact with DynamoDB (Non-relational database)
Have experience with DDD and event domains.
Deploy different functionalities of this API in microservices.
Set up a publish and subscribe system within Amazon (AWS Event Bridge + SQS + Lambda functions + RDS + API Gateway)
The entire solution must be Dockerized.
Last but not least, it will be necessary to provide adequate test coverage (unit tests and integration tests).
⚙️ Responsibilities and functions:
· Work on tasks related to LAYERS Core development, together with other experts on different fields and technologies, to develop and deploy tools and techniques that allow HEMAV to extract the maximum value for the users.
· Join agile liturgies such as user stories refinement, sprint planning, daily meetings, product reviews and retrospectives.
Contact point with internal stakeholders in punctual cases related with developments carried out.
📅 Time
· The estimated time for this project collaboration is 2~6 months. Based on the results of those first months, a permanent contract will be considered at the end of the period.

For contractual reasons, we need to invoice a professional registered in Colombia (at the contractual level), but this person can be working from anywhere in the world.
The salary estimation will depend on the individual's profile and experience, with the minimum duration being 2 - 6 months and the maximum to be determined. For this reason, a monthly salary estimation has been provided.
