Remote B2B Senior Quantitative Python Developer

Nickel Digital Asset Management is looking for a Remote B2B Senior Quantitative Python Developer to join the team.

(Our developers are all based in Poland, working remotely; we are looking for someone who will be able to thrive and grow in such a set-up in Poland)

Nickel Digital is an investment manager in the digital assets space who deploys highly sophisticated low-latency algorithmic trading, pursuing a range of arbitrage strategies in both spot and derivative markets, as well as a range of directional buy-and-hold products. We are one of the largest digital assets arbitrage funds and provide significant liquidity to top-tier exchanges.

As a Senior Quantitative Python Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance trading systems and models that operate in real-time financial markets. Working closely with traders, researchers, and other developers, you will design, implement, and optimize trading algorithms and risk management systems. Leveraging your expertise in Python programming, data analysis, and machine learning, you will build robust and scalable software solutions that operate in a high-pressure, low-latency trading environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain trading systems and models using Python and related technologies (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow)

  • Design and implement algorithms for trading, risk management, and optimization using statistical techniques and machine learning methods

  • Build and maintain data pipelines that feed real-time and historical data into trading models Collaborate with traders, researchers, and other developers to identify and implement new trading strategies and improve existing ones

  • Optimize software performance and scalability by leveraging distributed computing and parallel processing

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Python and related technologies and apply them to trading systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Python developer in a quantitative trading environment

  • Strong understanding of trading systems and financial markets

  • Proficient in Python and related libraries such as asyncio, aiohttp, websockets, NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy

  • Experience with low-latency systems and high-performance computing

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
