Research Assistant (Speech Recognition)

Temasek Laboratories@NTU is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Assistant. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop speech technology to support project ISSAC – speaker diarization, language id recognition and overlapping speech detection.

• Develop and deploy demostration system for team developed speaker dizariation, language identification, and overlapping speech detection algorithms.

• Developing web/mobile applications to crawl, acquire data, using python and Javascript, Django.

• Maintaining our computing cluster for algorithm development.

• Data preparation of acoustic data to train classification system using Kaldi toolkit and PyTorch.

• Conduct research and development in language identification and speaker diarization.

• Develop and maintain several back-end and front-end applications for speech processing systems in both offline and cloud-based environments.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/engineering or related fields.

• Research experience in speaker diarization and language identification.

• Experience with data collection processes and management for speech processing tasks.

• Strong in the following programming languages and frameworks: Python, Pytorch, Javascripts, Linux Bash/Shell, , Django, Flask, Nodejs, ExpressJs, Gstreamer.

• Experience in DevOps frameworks such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible and Terraform.

• Solid background in Machine Learning and Deep Learning.

• Having publications in related fields is a plus.
