Robotics Systems Engineer

Rapyuta Robotics is an ETH Zurich startup headquartered in Tokyo and operates with a vision to become the global leader in making robots more accessible.

Our Chennai team is looking for candidates capable of supporting the team to build state-of-the-art scalable autonomous mobile robots. The team works closely with some of the leading Japanese companies to build pioneering robotics solutions by leveraging rapyuta.io, our cloud robotics platform. The teamโ€™s mission is to be a market leader in the development of scalable, collaborative, and flexible autonomous robots in 2025.

Requirements

Role: Robotics System Engineer

Location: Chennai

Experience range: 3 to 5 years

We have multiple openings available, including positions for C++ Developers, Python Developers, Frontend Developers, Backend Developers, and DevOps/SRE. Candidates with expertise in any of these areas are encouraged to apply.

Candidates should meet at least one of the skill groups listed below.

Technical / Functional Skills (C++ Developer):

  • C++ (Advanced)

  • Memory management and Concurrency

  • Tools (Cmake, GCC++, GDB, Git, Docker)

Technical / Functional Skills (Frontend Developer):

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript

  • Front End Technologies like React, Redux etc

  • Tools (Webpack, Babel, Git, Docker)

Technical / Functional Skills (Backend Developer):

  • Python (preferred)

  • Technologies (Django, Redis, Postgres, Docker, SQL )

  • Knowledge on server side development regarding Authentication, OAuth, Caching, Asynchronous programming using Task queues, etc.

Technical / Functional Skills (DevOps/SRE):

  • Linux Operating System Concepts

  • Computer Networking

  • CI/CD(Github Actions)

  • Tools (Ansible, Terraform, Azure, AWS, Google)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • QA/Software development/integration for reliable autonomous mobile robots.

  • Collaborating with top-level robotics engineers to build a common stack scalable to many different robots and applications.

  • Improve our development workflow.

  • Evaluation of cutting-edge technologies and deployment to production.
