Senior Data Engineer Python/ML/AWS

At Stenon, we are on a mission to democratize soil data. We have become the global market leader in real-time, digital soil data that is laboratory-independent. This provides farmers with essential data to make optimal and sustainable cultivation decisions, boosting yield, crop quality, and soil health while saving money on inputs. Stenon has closed a $20 million Series A funding round and is expanding internationally.

We are looking for a data engineer that will enable our soil and data scientists to acquire data and to process it efficiently.

Tasks

  • Build and maintain data processing pipelines and storage

  • Ensure high performance and cost-efficiency when training and executing machine learning models

  • Support in automating manual processes

  • Support in maintaining high data quality

Requirements

  • Customer Focused : You measure success by the real value your work brings to users and the business. Your job isn’t done until you get positive feedback.

  • Experienced and Up to Code : You have 4+ years of experience building machine-learning -powered products. You write maintainable code in multiple languages (e.g., Python) and work with data processing tools like SQL, Pandas, Numpy, and ML-Ops tools (e.g., ML-Flow). Familiarity with Docker and cloud environments like AWS is a plus. You choose tools and technologies that best solve the problem at hand.

  • End-to-end ownership: You handle every project phase—from ideation and planning to coding, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting.

  • Problem Solver : You don’t wait for detailed instructions; you start with a problem and collaborate with the team to design and test solutions.
