About the Team & Role
As a Software Developer at Robinhood, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining backend services and infrastructure that support our core financial products. This position offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of the U.S. financial system from the inside, while expanding your expertise in financial technology.
What You’ll Do
Work with a dedicated mentor who will guide you through your journey at Robinhood. From onboarding you into our tech stack to helping you master the financial domain, your mentor will ensure you are fully prepared to make a meaningful impact. You'll also experience what it means to be part of the Robinhood community!
Design, build, test, and release software solutions that meet high standards for correctness and scalability.
Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to tackle critical challenges across the Robinhood organization.
Partner with other financial institutions to develop products and gain deeper insights into the industry.
Maintain and scale existing codebases to ensure the robustness and reliability of our products.
What You Bring
Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date in Winter 2024/Spring 2025.
Previous experience in software development through internships, hackathons, or personal projects.
Strong foundation in Computer Science principles.
Familiarity with Python/Django or Go.
Understanding of relational databases and transaction management.
A passion for finance or a strong desire to learn more about the financial domain.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.
