The Software Engineer Role
Unleash your full potential as a Software Engineer within the Qlik R&D team, the powerhouse behind our cutting-edge technology engine.
As part of the Qlik Data Ingestion team, you will work on a variety of application and projects with an emphasis on the data connectors and processors used by all Qlik products.
What makes this role interesting?
• You’ll collaborate with other software engineers, quality assurance engineers, product managers, and product designers to participate in the full software development lifecycle – from product requirements to software design, to testing and release.
• We have already written 150+ connectors and continuously work on supporting our customers in creating new data connectors and maintaining the existing ones.
• We use pair programming extensively, and you should expect to spend most of your time collaborating closely with other engineers on our team.
Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
• You’ll be responsible for software design, implementation, testing, and operation.
• You’ll continue to rapidly expand our universe of source and destination connectors.
• You’ll experiment with “automated connector generation” and optimize the performance of our connectors and processors to handle larger data sets.
• You’ll build a common API and runtime layer for data processing tasks across all of our products.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
• Graduation in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with at least 3 years of experience focusing on design and development. Preferred experience range - 3 to 5 years.
• Strong experience in Programming / Scripting language such as Python. Preferable to have experience in Clojure, JavaScript.
• Experience in Cloud – AWS is preferred.
• Familiarity with data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of web applications, databases, Linux and cloud environments.
• Experience in working on connectors and building data pipelines is preferred.
• A track record of delivering substantial software projects in cloud or data products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The location for this role is:
Bangalore, India (This is a hybrid role based out of our JP Nagar, Bangalore Office).
