We are looking for a Solutions Architect to be part of our Professional Services team to deploy cloud products and services for our customers. This person must be a hands-on, self-starter who loves solving innovative problems in a fast-paced, agile environment. The ideal candidate will have the insight to connect a specific business problem and Snowflake’s solution and communicate that connection and vision to various technical and executive audiences.

It means keeping up to date on the ever-evolving technologies for application development in order to be an authoritative resource for Snowflake, System Integrators and customers. Be a technical expert on all aspects of Snowflake
Guide customers through the process of building applications on Snowflake and develop methodologies to improve the application development process
Deploy Snowflake following best practices, including ensuring knowledge transfer so that customers are properly enabled and are able to extend the capabilities of Snowflake on their own
Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate and communicate implementation best practices on Snowflake technology
Maintain deep understanding of existing application development frameworks and how to position and rationalize Snowflake in relation to them
Work with System Integrator consultants at a deep technical level to successfully position and deploy Snowflake in customer environments
Provide guidance on how to resolve customer-specific technical challenges
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake’s products and marketing and offer support to other members of the Professional Services team develop their expertise
BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent practical experience
6+ years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales and post-sales technical roles, including a track record of success selling data and/or analytics software to enterprise customers and identifying/presenting information to key stakeholders and both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with hands-on full-stack development, from backend development to front-end UI/UX design, as well as experience in data engineering
Experience building applications on multiple target platforms and frameworks in one or more of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCS) and knowledge of application frameworks like Node.js, React, Flask, Django, Ruby, Force.com, Angular, or Spring
Software development experience with Java, .NET, and Python and scripting experience with Python, Powershell, Bash
Knowledge of data formats or languages that manage data, including SQL, JSON, AVRO, Apache Parquet or XML
Proficiency in Agile DevDps and DataOps practices using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Database Change Management (e.g. Liquibase, Flyway) and relevant tooling (e.g. Terraform)
Ability and flexibility to travel to work with customers on-site
Hands-on experience with Snowflake’s core platform, native apps framework, and Snowpark container services
Knowledge of platform and container technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Experience with Open Data table formats like Iceberg and data processing engines like Spark is a plus
High level overview and knowledgeable on ML model development, MLOps, and Generative AI
